I’ve been around . I was born and grew up in Pretoria but crime rates increased dramatically and we fled . It’s only gotten worse . Most of our family friends have either moved to Cape Town or back to Europe. I’ve lived in Australia for like 11 years now.

That’s fair enough. Strangely, you stayed in countries that drive on the wrong side of the road.

I know, it’s unfortunate. Even though I learnt how to drive here, getting into a manual car in Europe and using my right hand to shift is immediately more comfortable.

I would say that’s strange, but I found shifting with my left hand to be pretty natural.

Depends on the car I guess. But t he stick in my E46 is pretty stiff and for a quick 1st to 2nd I’d rather pull it towards me with my right hand than have to push it away with my left.
